Hi!  My name is Emily. I am an early 30′s tech-geek, currently residing in Florida, US.. although I am about to move up to New Jersey.  I love food in almost all forms.. more the eating than the preparing. It is my life-goal to learn 5 languages fluently. I love crocheting.. well, any type of building/creating things. I would love to get into Martial Arts someday.  I’m also a pretty decent shot with firearms… and that’s my nutshell.

I work for an awesome engineering firm in New Jersey. As their database administrator/analyst and website admin, I telecommute from my home office.. controlling, maintaining, and creating their various databases and websites.. and I love it.  :)  Although, to be honest, not being around people is starting to get to me.

Besides my company’s work I also have taken on bits of web/database freelancing when extra money was needed, as a favor, or when the project intrigued me. However,  I may also try to get around to creating a portfolio/resume site for myself in the next 6 months or so.

So, beyond all that.. is my future.  For years, I have been tossing back and forth random ideas of my eventual career path. The overall picture will definitely keep me on the computer-track.  However lately, I’ve become more serious in deciding which direction to go. No, I am not leaving my company.. However, all things come to an end eventually and one is a fool who does not prepare for that. This is the reason for the re-creation of this website.. here is where I will catalog ideas, education, possibilities.. even some of my creative attempts.. my journey.
